About this survey
This survey is part of the FutureLearning AI Readiness and Practice Audit for your school. It asks about the board’s engagement with AI as a governance matter — what you have been told, what you have discussed, and whether you feel equipped to exercise your governance responsibilities in relation to AI.
This survey covers four domains relevant to board governance. You do not need specialist knowledge of AI technology to answer. The questions are designed to be answerable by any board member based on what has happened at the board table.
Time required: approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
Informed consent and data useBy completing this survey, you consent to FutureLearning using your responses to generate your school's AI Readiness and Practice Report. You also consent to de-identified and aggregated data (from which no individual school or person can be identified) being used by FutureLearning for research and to contribute to sector-level analysis of AI readiness and practice in Aotearoa New Zealand schools. Your school's data is held against your unique school code only and is not shared with the Ministry of Education, ERO, or any other agency. No school-level data will be published or shared in a form that could identify your school. You may request a copy of your school's data at any time by contacting
